Originally a Tithe Barn, Cripps is an 18th-century Cotswold barn in the Coln Valley. The rustic venue, with its flagstone floors, beams, and a roaring fireplace, has been transformed into a wedding venue for all seasons.

Ceremonies happen in the main barn, under its medieval chandelier, stone fireplace, and two entrances. For outdoor ceremonies, an Oak Pavilion in the gardens is a magical woodland setting.

Next to Edinstowe in Nottinghamshire, Hazel Gap sits on the historic Welbeck Estate. The red-brick barn is striking, with its crenellated entrance and a pair of watchtowers that curve around a picturesque courtyard.

Inside, the light-filled Oak Room has stunning views over the gardens and woodland and the bar flows seamlessly into the courtyard. It’s the perfect spot for guests to feast in style.

The Hazel Gap courtyard is surrounded by barn buildings. With its fountain, mulberry trees, seating, and planters, it is sheltered and peaceful. At night, the space comes alive with fairy lights, fire pits, and lanterns, creating a magical atmosphere.

This 18th-century barn lies in the Northumberland countryside, only 40 minutes from Newcastle. Keeping its historic charm, the barn has been restored and has a huge open fire and soaring ceilings.

With panoramic views over the neighbouring countryside and a sunny sheltered courtyard, it can be lit by over 100 flickering candles and fairy lights woven into its oak beams, creating an enchanting setting for ceremonies.

After the vows, it transforms into a drinks reception and dance floor and as night falls, fire pits, lanterns, and fairy-lit trees create a magical feel.

Alternatively, we can host wedding celebrations in the barn following a ceremony in one of the local churches.

Tucked between Burford and Northleach, Stone Barn is a picture-perfect Cotswold wedding venue, steeped in rustic charm and easily accessible from London.

Once a working agricultural building, Cripps & Co. has lovingly reimagined it into a wedding venue brimming with character. Think flagstone floors underfoot, timber beams overhead, and a vast open fireplace crackling with warmth.

The adjoining Dutch barns have beautiful corrugated iron roofs and incredible views. These atmospheric spaces are split for the post-drinks ceremony up top and feasting down below. A wooden shelter in the Stone Barn grounds is an idyllic spot for outdoor ceremonies in the summer.

Built in the 16th century, The Tithe Barn is set within the grounds of the Duke of Devonshire’s majestic Bolton Abbey estate in the Yorkshire Dales. This Grade II* listed building is one of the largest exclusive-use wedding venues in the UK.

Inside, the barn’s majestic scale comes into its own. It is lit with uplights on the flagstone floor and fairy lights woven through the beams that support the barn’s elevated ceiling. Huge, medieval chandeliers refract candlelight around the room and colourful Moroccan stools are scattered around the bar.

Ceremonies take place in the main barn, and in the summer, outdoor ceremonies are held on the barn’s terrace with views across the Bolton Abbey Priory ruins.

Hidden in the Staffordshire countryside, the venue lies on a private estate among a two-acre Victorian walled garden. Once an organic utopia supplying London’s top restaurants, it is now bursting with flowers, trees and the occasional vegetable.

The Ceremony Room is strikingly modern and designed by RIBA-award-winning architect Seth Stein. It floats above the historic garden walls, with glass doors that spill onto a terrace overlooking the stunning grounds.

A wooden yurt built from steamed mountain ash and oak doors has picture-perfect views. At night, the dance floor is strung with fairy lights and festoons, creating a setting straight out of a storybook.
