To put this into context, we had visited about seven venues before we eventually came to visit Grangefields. We knew as soon as we saw this venue that we HAD to book it by hook or by crook we were having our blessing here. It didn't even matter that we lived the best part of an hour away. We loved the black corrugated iron backdrop in the dining room and the open kitchen and the winner was the ceremony room which completely sells the venue.
We visited the venue three times, and in each of those times the staff showed patience with our very intricate requirements and answered all of our questions.
The day itself was even better, the staff were awesome, Tim the host was attentive as were the evening staff. They made the whole day go without a single glitch!!

Grangefields is an absolutely beautiful venue, the food is delicious (plus you get plenty of it) and the friendly staff go above and beyond to make sure they give you the day you’ve always wished for. The online portal makes the planning process so straightforward. Along with this you have an online chat which makes it really easy to send any questions you have day or night. The staff are always quick to respond and are very accommodating. We cannot recommend Grangefields enough, they gave us the wedding we had dreamed of.

Grangefields is an exclusive use wedding venue set in the Derbyshire countryside.
The wedding ceremony room in the converted old barn, is a fabulous room to host your wedding ceremony. The light that comes into that room is incredibly special.
The big barn is ideal for your wedding, breakfast and your speeches.
Grangefields and sister venue, Hazel Gap Barn are always well staffed, well run and well organised and would highly recommend anyone looking at booking an exclusive use wedding venue to look at Grangefields.

Absolutely amazing venue. Took the stress out of everything and were very flexible in the lead up. On the day we had an assigned coordinator who was stellar both in communication and experience and made everything flow so perfectly! Not sure where to begin... The venue itself is simply stunning and totally unique. The food is the best wedding food I've ever tasted by a country mile (all the guests said so) and the staff are absolute angels. It was honestly the perfect day and our guests have all just raved about it. So many have said it's the best wedding they've ever been to and I know we're bias but I'd have to agree!
We reeeeeally want to do it all again already. Perhaps a yearly vow renewal - ha!

Grangefields is perfectly run, as with all the Cripps & Co venues - you always know it will be a perfect day! What we love most about Grangefields is the variety in decor / backdrops. It’s a variety of styles in one setting and all so beautiful. We couldn’t recommend this venue enough if you’re looking for a venue in the Derbyshire area. We had the most wonderful wedding day all thanks to Tim and his team at Grangefields. The venue was beautiful, the team was FAB and the wedding was all we wanted it to be! Everything and everyone were so amazingly wonderful- what a dream they are.
Tim was the most amazing wedding planner and accommodated all our needs as we had a very different setup due to the wedding being a traditional Indian wedding.
Everything from the food, the decor, the staff, and the venue was perfect. The wedding day would not have been what it was without our Grangefeilds team and we will be eternally grateful.

Andrew and I became Mr & Mrs Price at Grangefields in July 2023. We looked at a lot of venues but this one stood out to us immediately. Not only was the venue beautiful, with the show kitchen and the almost "chapel" vibes in the barn (it was a none-religious ceremony, but we wanted somewhere that felt spiritual), but the staff were warm and welcoming in a way we didn’t experience anywhere else. They were in communication with us the whole duration (15 months) and were happy to answer all of our questing, both big and small. On the day, they were attentive and always nearby whenever required, and helped guide us through the day. They were basically providing us with wedding planners, without inflating the price to include this. They are experts in their field. We would recommend Grangefields in a heartbeat and really feel like they took the stress out of the planning process for us.
The feast menu was absolutely to-die-for, with multiple guests telling us it was the best English wedding they had been to, with the best food without doubt. The external grounds were pristine, the lighting was perfect inside and out, creating a lovely ambience throughout the whole day.
A huge thank you to the whole Grangefields team, and a special shout out to Lucy for being our main liaison - she was brilliant!

From the moment we drove up to Grangefields we both knew this venue was something special. Tim talked us through the timings of the day and how the different rooms complimented each step, I might have even shed a tear or two - we were blown away and booked within 48hrs for 18 months later in June 2023. We had such an incredible experience on the lead up: the portal (for contact and managing our account/wedmin) was a game changer, the feast night and picking our menu where we also invited our parents who had nothing but great things to say and actually, it was a great way to get together before the wedding, the team - the quick responses, answering millions of my questions, nothing was too much trouble - it was all very much appreciated. Our special day arrived and Lucy (our day manager) and Tim (our night manager) were just fantastic and so professional, from managing our friends and family as they arrived, setting-up the rooms and decor exactly as we asked for, for our incredible cocktail hour, everything was to time and we just felt so reassured that everything was under control. Lucy - thank you for keeping me and Dad calm (literally moments before we walked down the aisle), for being available and seen - it really made me feel at ease throughout the day and Tim for being there throughout the evening so that everything ran smoothly, for the awesome playlists as we were winding down and for your support on the run upto the day. We would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone, the venue and grounds are stunning (rain, sleet or shine!), the ceremony room is absolutely breathtaking and the food, drinks and hospitality - just incredible. You have given us such wonderful memories, thank you for everything!

I'm not sure any type of review I write will be able to fully express how amazing the Grangefields team were for us. We fell in love with the venue the second we walked into our viewing - no selling required. On top of this, the team at Grangefields were amazing - right from the get-go. I constantly had questions - this was never a hassle. We had extra phone call conversations with them when I had loads of questions. They did everything they could to make sure we could do what we wanted to at the venue with decorations, to confetti throws inside and outside. The venue is stunning on its own, and you do not need to spend a fortune making it look pretty - it's stunning on it's own.
The team were amazing on set-up … and were excited for us and kept asking if we needed any help with prep etc. Fast forward to the day, and the whole team were incredible, from our day and evening managers, to the team bringing us food, nibbles etc. As soon as I stepped out of the car, Tim, our day manager was amazing - he made me feel super calm, which helped a lot. He listened to what I needed and answered any last minute questions. The team throughout the day were amazing, checking in we were ok, did we need anything - pre-warning us when certain things were coming up. We never had to ask what we were doing next. Right until the very end, the team were more than we ever could have asked for.
I cannot put into words how much Grangefields and the team mean to us - they gave us the most magical wedding that we just cannot put into words.

Where do I start. The wedding of our dreams, all made possible by the wonderful Jess & Tim. From our first visit to Grangefields we knew it was the one for us, we were blown away! Planning a wedding is a stressful time, but from the moment we discovered Grangefields we had zero concerns about the level of service we were going to receive. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and the perfect layout for a wedding - we were lucky enough to have clear blue skies on our day and all of the guests loved being out in the courtyard in the sunshine. The ceremony room is absolutely stunning, it was everything we wanted especially with the romantic light shining through the many windows. The whole venue is decorated beautifully as is and we loved the additions in the packages such as the greenery halos wheels and firepits!
The moment we tried Cripps & Co's food (initially at their sister venue Hazel Gap, and then at Grangefield's itself) we were completely sold. Having had our fair share of slightly disappointing food at other weddings, we knew that nothing else was going to compare. Since the wedding, we have had nothing but rave reviews from our guests, and one of our suppliers quoted it was 'the best wedding food he'd ever had'. We will definitely be returning for a feast night due to the standard and quality of the food and would thoroughly recommend attending one to anyone looking at the venue as a possibility.
Tim, Lucy, Amanda and Jess were absolutely amazing on the day and during the entire planning process. The portal is absolutely great - we never once had to chase for any answers and we can only apologise for how many questions we asked in the lead up! Tim's management skills are second to none and the whole day went incredibly smoothly. We had full confidence that Tim and the team had everything under control.
All in all, we had the best day and would love to relive it over and over again - it's impossible to do it justice in a single review. Thank you so much for everything!

What can we say to actually give Grangefields the props it deserves for being a great wedding venue. Firstly I’ve never known so many people with post wedding blues after the wedding due to the venue itself, the food and great hospitality from all the staff. Myself and Sally had what can only be described as the best day of our lives and some. The day ran so smoothly due to the staffs’ efforts to ensure very minor detail was in place. The food was out of this world with the sharing boards giving the day the relaxed and enjoyable feeling both myself and Sally wanted for our guests. My wife and I held our wedding reception at Grangefields on 30th May 2023. They exceeded our expectations in everything! We felt we received exceptional value for money and every single guest was treated like royalty for the day. They were flexible, accomodating, supportive, encouraging and stress reducing to the highest degree! The canapés, main meal and evening pizza's were outstanding, with the roast potatoes being a particular favourite of the guests! You also get so much space to use including 3 amazing rooms and a vast courtyard. We could not speak more highly of Tim, Lucy, Jess and Hayley for helping in the build up and for managing our event on the day. 10/10, 5/5, whatever rating system you choose, they top it!!

Grangefields made our wedding day perfect.
From the start the Grangefields team were attentive, responsive and respectful to all our questions and requests. Leading up to (and including) the day they assured us that they had everything in hand. And they did.
We were literally able to hand over decorations, cake, sweet stand, music player and they took care of it all.
For those precious first hours the managers made for excellent support and that continued right through the evening.
The venue is stunning and nestled in the rolling Derbyshire hills. It is such a peaceful, relaxing place where you feel like you've crossed to the Riveria or Pilazzo.

Grangefields was the first venue we looked around, and the moment we drove away up the drive we knew we would get married there however, we did give other venues a chance, but it just did not compare. Tim was so welcoming and lovely, he answered any questions we had and made us feel at ease.
Our wedding was everything and more that we had planned, it was absolutely magical, all the guests commented on how beautiful the venue was, even down to the finest details. We saw many empty plates and happy faces throughout the reception - the food was delicious.
We can’t thank Tim and his team enough for helping us make our day so special and personalised, and assisting with all of our requests. All of the staff at the venue are happy to help with anything. The memories we made here with all of our family and friends we will cherish forever. From the bottom of our hearts - Thank you.

I’m not sure how to put into words just how fantastic this place is in every way.
Firstly the staff -Tim and Lucy at the helm were fantastic and the whole crew of waiters , waitresses, chefs and bar staff were amazing, relaxed, funny and attentive without being too regimented - they knew exactly what was needed and when, these guys were brilliant.
The venue is beautiful, stunning location and perfect for every aspect of the wedding day.
The food was such high standard too - everyone commented on how nice their meal was and to say we had so many dietary requirements we thought there maybe a hiccup or two but not a single mistake was made - All our guests have since been in touch to say how amazing everything was too.
All in all, our wedding day was perfect and this is all down to the professional service offered and executed by Grangefields.

We had our wedding ceremony at Christ Church Long lane Ashbourne, followed by our reception at Grangefields on the 29th August 2022. The moment we viewed Grangefields we knew this was the place for us, and the reception we got from the team immediately made us feel at ease. Their professionalism and support throughout the whole planning process to the wedding day itself was far beyond what we expected. Little things like they provided us with pictures to create personalised illustrations of the venue for our stationary, and didn't bat an eyelid when we said we'd be having African drums for our wedding reception!
The day itself ran perfectly from start to finish, our guests commented on how seamless the service was and always felt comfortable asking questions if needed.
We couldn't have asked for a better day and we can't thank the Grangefields team for being a large part of why that was the case.

We had our wedding here on the 31st July and it was our dream wedding. The venue and setting is stunning, the staff were excellent. The day time manager couldn't do enough for us making sure every little detail was perfect and made sure we didn’t have to do or worry about a thing, the ceremony room is beautiful, I cannot recommend this place enough!

Everything flowed absolutely perfectly and you were so accommodating to every single request that I made on the run up to the day and even accommodated guests on the day. My wife & I had our wedding at Grangefields in May this year & it couldn’t have gone better, in large part due to the venue & staff at Grangefields.
The team were so helpful, kind, efficient & accommodating leading up to the wedding & even more so on the day.
We had an Indian/English fusion wedding & they were so good at adapting the menu & accommodating the ceremony to suit & really understanding what we wanted.
We’re big foodies so that was one of the most important things & it was the best food we’d ever had at a wedding, which was backed up by pretty much every guest saying the same thing, along with commenting on the venue & the staff.
The venue is perfect for being able to host the ceremony, food, dancing & just hanging out in the courtyard all in different spaces & we just generally can’t say enough good things about it all or find the right words to do it justice as a venue & a team.
They made our day & the lead in so much more stress free than it would have been almost anywhere else.

Our day wouldn’t have been the same without Tim, Lucy and the team, they made sure everything was completely seamless so we could relax and enjoy our day. They went above and beyond in every single aspect from start to finish, and provided everything in abundance (drinks, food, support, laughter).

We had our Christmas wedding at Grangefields and it was THE most perfect day!!! Tim and his team were amazing throughout and really looked after us and our guests! You would never have thought they had only opened in the summer, everything just went so smoothly…the food was outstanding and the drinks even better (Tim came up with the best cocktail menu for our big day with all our favourites on it and they not only tasted amazing they were also very reasonably priced).
The venue itself…just wow! Walking down the aisle was like something out of a movie, such a long spacious aisle with big wooden doors that were closed before my entrance which made it just that little bit more special. The beams in the ceiling, the greenery, the glass windows so you can see into the kitchen at the end of the barn, the courtyard with the roaring fire pits…even the toilets have been designed so beautifully! I wish we could do it all again, the day went by so fast! Thank you so much to everyone at Grangefields, you have given us a wedding day and memories that we will cherish forever, I would recommend you to anyone and I know our guests would say the same.
