Barn Conversions - Shustoke Barn
If you have been following us for some time, you will know about our conversion blogs. It’s time for our third in the series; Shustoke Barn!
In 2009 we decided to take on our third barn-turned-wedding venue development, and for this one, we wanted to venture outside of our original Cotswold hub a little. Our search took us roughly 50 miles North to the Merevale and Blythe Estate in Coleshill, where we found Shustoke Barn.
With our visions coming together, the planning process properly began in early 2011, and we got the green light for development later that year.
We have dug through the archives to piece together some before and after photos, and to bring the development process to life.
… with our first wedding already booked for July 2013, we had a lot to be getting on with!
The main threshing barns became our bar, ceremony, and dining space
We had a furry friend to make sure all was going to plan
Restoration well underway
It’s not a Cripps venue without festoon lighting
The courtyard needed a lot of TLC
Our couples and visitors are always blown away by the incredible carpentry by Emmanuel Hendry
We always keep those original features where we can
You can’t forget the Cripps stamp
Open kitchens, barbecues, and rotisseries are part of the Cripps blueprint
And in case you were wondering … we still get the raves!
Shustoke’s first wedding was a huge success in July 2013, and it’s been an absolute blast ever since.
That takes us to three barn conversions by 2013, but of course we didn’t stop here. As always, keep an eye out for the next one… Healey Barn is up next!
