CAN WE HAVE A CIVIL WEDDING?
Yes, we are licensed for indoor ceremonies for up to 140 seated guests and outdoor ceremonies for up to 140 seated guests.

CAN WE HAVE A CHURCH WEDDING?
There are lots of churches local to Thorpe Garden so, if you choose to get married in a church, you can bring your guests back for your reception, wedding feast and evening party.
WHAT IS YOUR CLOSING TIME?
At Thorpe Garden your hire period runs until midnight.
WHAT IS YOUR DINING CAPACITY?
We can accommodate up to 140 seated guests in the Yurt.
CAN WE SEE THE FULL MENU FOR FOOD AND WINE?
You can see our range of food and bar menus as well as detailed information about our wine in our brochure, which can be found at the bottom of the Thorpe Garden home page.
CAN WE INVITE ADDITIONAL EVENING GUESTS?
There is room for an additional 60 guests in the evening (amounting to 200 guests in total), for drinks and dancing.
DO YOU HAVE OUTDOOR HEATERS?
We have outdoor fire pits for guests to keep warm (or toast marshmallows).
IS THE YURT WARM?
Yes - the Yurt and the Ceremony Room both have advanced underfloor heating and candles everywhere, for added warmth and atmosphere.
The unpredictable English weather is never a problem at Thorpe Garden.
DO YOU HAVE ON-SITE ACCOMMODATION?
Whilst there is none on site, there is plenty of excellent accommodation very nearby, so your guests can all stay within an easy distance from Thorpe Garden.
WHAT DO WE DO ABOUT MUSIC?
There are several options for music. You are welcome to plug in your own iPod playlist (we have a state-of-the-art sound system), you could have a DJ and a live band, or a combination of the above.
WHAT PA (PUBLIC ADDRESS) AND SOUND SYSTEM DO YOU HAVE IN PLACE?
Thorpe Garden has been fitted with a high-quality Funktion-One sound system designed specifically for the Yurt, its acoustics and its intended purposes.
CAN WE BRING OUR OWN FLOWERS & DECORATIONS?
You can decorate the garden, Yurt and Ceremony Room as you wish. We have our own decoration packages to get you started, and a list of trusted local suppliers in our Wedding Directory.
CAN WE USE OUR OWN CATERERS?
The feast is a key element of any special occasion and we are passionate about delivering all our events to an extremely high standard, so we take care of all food and drink in-house. Our excellent team of in-house chefs freshly prepares all food served and you can choose from a range of excellent wine, champagne, beer and spirits. All couples are encouraged to come to one of our Feast Nights, where you can taste our food and see the barn.
DO YOU HAVE A WEDDING PLANNING SERVICE?
Helping you plan and organise your day is a key part of what we do. We will support you throughout the planning process and will be there on the day to make sure everything goes smoothly. Our guests are always impressed with the level of service they receive from our on-site teams.
CAN WE CHANGE DETAILS AFTER WE HAVE AGREED THE QUOTE AND BOOKED OUR DATE?
This is your day. Whether you pick up the phone or check real-time changes to your initial quote using our intuitive online platform, we are on hand right up until the day itself to help you with anything you want or need.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY EVENT IS CANCELLED?
On rare occasions a guest will need to cancel their event. We always recommend that you get wedding insurance in case of unforeseeable circumstances.
